Happy father’s day!.
Today is Father's day. A nice moment to put all fathers (and father figures) in the spotlight. Because fathers play an indispensable role in the life and development of their child. Whether it is doing homework together, offering a listening ear after a school day, or thinking along about school choices: involved fatherhood makes a difference.
A month full of fathers
At Ouders & Onderwijs, the month of June is therefore dedicated to fathers. We pay extra attention to their role, their experiences, and the challenges they sometimes face. Because although many fathers want to be actively involved in their child’s school, this does not always happen automatically in practice.

Symposium about fatherhood
During the symposium about fatherhood, experts, professionals, and parents came together to talk about the role of fathers in upbringing and education. Insights were shared and practical tools discussed to involve fathers more. A valuable meeting that shows this theme is alive.
