At Stichting Ouders & Onderwijs we help parents every day with questions about their child's education. We listen, give independent, constructive, reliable and free advice, help parents get an overview of their situation and guide them on the right path. Useful for parents and schools, because timely advice can prevent many problems.

Together we ensure constructive solutions

Too often parents only come to us when problems are already big. Or they do not know about Ouders & Onderwijs at all. Sometimes emotions run high and a solution seems further away than needed. For parents, teachers and school staff. This is a shame because timely advice can prevent many problems and relieve parents and teachers. At our advice point parents immediately speak to one of our colleagues and we take time. We listen to parents, allow space for their emotions and guide them toward a constructive solution. That is why it is important that parents know how to find us.

Do you have questions about education?
At stichting Ouders & Onderwijs you can get independent advice and a listening ear. They help you with questions about all education topics. Like repeating a year, tailored education, bullying and much more. They are available for free every working day for questions and advice and have a website full of useful information.

Point professionals to Ouders & Onderwijs

The more people know we exist, the more parents and schools we can help. The importance of parent involvement

Parents and school have the same goal: the best education for children. By working together, you strengthen each other. As a school, it is important to realize that all parents are involved with their child in their own way.

Some parents are often at school helping with many things. Other parents come rarely and help a lot at home with homework. Some parents seem absent but simply do not know where to start or what is expected of them. This asks flexibility from schools. Not always easy but very important.

Because: good cooperation between parents and school benefits the child. Children feel better at school, perform better and the barrier to contact during problems is much lower.
