If you spent a lot of money on expensive school books, they stay unused on the shelf. What a waste. The JOB mbo received many complaints about this and they took action. Since school year 2021/2022 a mandatory buyback scheme is in place. This means all mbo schools must buy back unused books and materials.
When is a book unused?
A book is unused if it was not needed in lessons and does not serve as a reference. The school can also expect the book to be undamaged. Each mbo school can set its own rules and conditions in the scheme.
Buyback scheme at every mbo school
Every mbo school must have a buyback scheme. You can find it on the website or digital environment of the mbo school. The scheme states when a book is unused and how you can ask for your money back.
