Mbo has four different levels. The diploma your child earned before decides which mbo level they can enter. Level 2 is the basic vocational course and comes after the entry course. Content of the mbo level 2 course

At a level 2 course, your child learns mainly practical subjects that help in work. Your child is trained for jobs that involve doing work directly. For example, as an assistant. Your child follows a vocational training pathway or a work-based learning pathway. Not every mbo school offers both pathways. Some only have a vocational training or only a work-based course. When choosing, it is important to check this at your child’s mbo school.

After the course

After getting an mbo level 2 diploma, your child can start working. If your child wants to continue learning after level 2, they can move to an mbo level 3 course. That is the vocational course.
